Caramel Apple French Toast Casserole

  • 10 cups crusty French bread, cubed
  • 2 cups apples, peeled and cubed
  • 8 eggs
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons apple pie spice
  • Caramel topping, as needed
  • 2 tablespoons walnuts, chopped (optional)
  • Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking pan. Line bottom of pan with bread cubes and top with apples. Set aside.
    2. In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, cream, and apple pie spice until smooth. Pour egg mixture over bread and apples.
    3. Bake until golden brown and cooked through, about 45-60 minutes. Drizzle with caramel sauce and chopped walnuts (if using) before serving. Enjoy!
